The Archaeological Map of the Czech Republic (AMCR) is an information system for collecting, managing and presenting data on archaeological excavations in the Czech Republic and for understanding the past of Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia. The contained data describe tens of thousands of archaeological excavations and their specific findings. They include information about the leaders of the research, when the research took place, its location, as well as what finds and from what period the research found. Most records are linked to a digital document repository and bibliographic catalogue.
The AMCR is aimed at professional archaeologists, specialists in related fields, students and interested members of the general public, offering them the opportunity to work effectively with the knowledge gained by generations of archaeologists in this country. It is operated by the Archaeological Institutes of the CAS in Prague and Brno.
More information about the AMCR can be found on its website: https://amcr-info.aiscr.cz/ User help for the application is available via: https://amcr-help.aiscr.cz/
